Mission: To place the highest priority on making certain that all children are grade ready by age six in terms of their cognitive, physical and social development. Success By 6 is a community-wide initiative that brings together private businesses, health and human service organizations, educators as well as individuals from local government and religious groups to form a collaborative partnership.

Services: Success By 6 is operating two components -

Community Awareness - This component of Success BY 6 serves as a referral service for parents who call the PSA number- the caller is then directed to agencies who provide the programs and/or services to meet the needs.

Literacy component - This component has organized two book drives and has distributed several bookcases and approximately 4,000 gently used children's books into the community. The initiative continues to promote ear1y literacy in children of all ages through informational materials.

Volunteer Opportunities: Readers to young children; Donations of children's books ages 0-8 years.

Hours: 9:00am- 5:00pm

Support: The United Way of Cayuga County, The Human services Coalition, and the E. John Gavras Center as well as foundation support and donations.
