Mission: The Child Care Council of the Finger Lakes, Inc. is committed to improving the quality of child care with a mission to promote, strengthen, coordinate and expand child care options in Cayuga and Seneca Counties.

Services:
Parents are assisted in locating regulated childcare that is best suited to their needs.

Child Care Subsidy Program: Funded by the City of Auburn’s City Development Block Grant: For low-income families who are City of Auburn residents. United Way Subsidy: Helping low-income parents afford quality child care throughout Cayuga County.

Child And Adult Care Food Program (CACFP): A food subsidy program funded by the NY State Office of Child and Family Services, including training providers on nutritional needs.

Educational Nutrition Program: Includes training and partial reimbursement for food served by in-home day care providers to children in their care

Child Care Training Program: Training is available for child-care providers and day care center staff, to help meet state training requirements.

Health & Grants Safety: Grants for new and existing in-home child care providers for health and safety items to assure health and safety of children in their care.

Lending Library & Resource Center: Books, toys and videos for lending by members.

Infant/Toddler Program: Access to local and regional specialists, training, and materials.

Education: Offering parenting workshops, FDC provider training, childcare center staff development, and community, often in conjunction with EPIC program, "Every Person Influences Children".

Advocacy for Children’s Issues: Accessing and updating information at local, state and federal levels.

Volunteer Opportunities: Short-term help needed to clean out old files and materials. Contact Dawn Van Orman at 255-6994.

Hours: Mon. - Fri. 9am - 5pm

Referrals: Accepted from other agencies

Support: Funding from federal and state agencies, City CDBG, Membership, Human Service Agency, Not for Profit fundraising, United Way (Cayuga and Seneca Counties).
