Catalyst Cayuga, formerly known as The Human Services Coalition of Cayuga County, is an independent not-for-profit organization that strengthens and supports not for profit organizations so our community can thrive. By building leadership, partnership, and capacity, organizations can better meet shared challenges, quickly identify barriers to service provision, and most effectively meet community needs.
Registration open for free Workshop
10 am Thursday, May 16
Mary Carney, of Mary Carney Consulting, will lead a virtual workshop on how to use Excel to be more efficient and effective in not-for-profit work. “People are surprised to learn they can use Excel to approach non-financial tasks and projects,” Mary said. Registration is now open. This workshop is free.
Participants will:
1. Become familiar with various ways nonprofit organizations can use Excel (e.g., to track progress, report on budgets, enhance communications).
2. Learn tips and tricks for organizing, analyzing, and presenting data with Excel.
3. Receive slides with resources for further learning.
Marketing & Communications Event April 17
Catalyst Cayuga is bringing communications professionals to Cayuga County to share tips and techniques to help not-for-profits get the word out about their agencies, programming and services. Learn foundational elements of graphic design, as well as elements for effective promotional efforts and marketing. Come early for coffee and networking.
The program runs from 9 to noon, with 9 am being registration and networking, with the program starting at 9:30 am Wednesday, April 17, at Auburn Public Theater. The program costs $30 per person.

Catalyst phased out old email last year
As of 2023, Catalyst Cayuga has officially moved away from its human resources email as part of phasing out references to its former iterations.
